The Banana Story

Once upon a time there was a Flying Banana ... No! No! The Banana story started in a different way. The idea for an own web presence is years old. I had this idea again an again. But all domains I had in mind were all taken, and I did not want a domain with a name I do not like.
Just before Corona I was in the southern part of Africa and the people that are living there were naming the 'Southern yellow-billed hornbill' as 'Flying Banana' because of the reason the beak of this bird is looking like a banana. That was the first time having the idea the page could start as a 'Banana Page'.

At the begin of 2023 I decided starting an own web presence. I found out that the .org, .net and .com domains of 'Flying-Banana' were free. Therefore I grabbed this domains and began with my project!
Since this project is only a hobby I will not waste money for professional graphics design. Therefore I created my Banana Logos by myself. The initial idea was a sketch done on my Surface Tablet and a pen. That was the very first 'Flying Banana' fruit!

With this sketch I did the first Flying Banana vector graphic using Inkscape 1.22. I liked the result and the Flying Banana, that is used on my webpage, was born.

Finally I created a complete Logo around my created Banana. This Logo is one of the logos I am using for my 'Flying Banana' project. I also did some other Logos and Bananas that I will use on my page for specific reasons.
